Get involved

Everyone involved in FOCC Medway is a volunteer. Therefore all of our funds and every donation we receive goes directly to help these needy children and their families. There are many ways that you can get involved with FOCC Medway – come to our events, make a donation, sponsor a child, hold an event in aid of our charity, be sponsored to do something amazing, provide an activity or opportunity for our children’s visit, or even put your skills (handicraft or otherwise) to use to help us.

We are extremely grateful to everyone who helps us because without your support we could not make such a difference to these young lives.

FOCC Medway prides itself in bringing the local Medway community together for friendship and a common goal of helping these families in need.

Fundraising

This is an extremely important part of the charity’s work throughout the year – the costs of visas, flights and travel continue to increase. The charity runs several events each year to raise money and many amazing people raise funds for us with their own events too. Find out more on our fundraising page here.

Sponsorship

Become a volunteer or host family

For the four weeks our children are with us in Medway each year, they need a caring and loving home. Find out more on our host family page here.

We also need support in running our daily activities for the children. If you are interested in volunteering with the charity, then please contact Linda and Tony – FOCC Medway’s coordinators by emailing: foccmedway15@gmail.com.

****Please note that all adults living in a host family home and all volunteers who spend time with the children will have to be vetted by the charity and be DBS-checked.****

It isn’t ALL about the money!

Of course, monetary donations are essential to the running of the charity and are always very much appreciated; but that is not the only way that you can donate to the charity.

Could you or your organisation could provide an activity or opportunity for the children during their stay?

Could you donate items for the charity to sell/raffle or to give to the children and their families?

Could you make items for the charity to sell or knit/crochet items that the children and their families need to keep warm?

Perhaps you have an amazing idea to help us?
