March 2022
Many of you will be aware that we have not been able bring the children from Belarus to the UK since the summer of 2019. Government regulations both here and abroad in response to the pandemic as well as the siutation in Belraus has meant that travel is out of the question. This has been further complicated by the breakdown in relationship between the respective governments, which has resulted in us not being able to provide financial assistance to the families we support.
Our governing body – FOCC GB – are in contact with our representatives in Belarus but at the current time no one knows when the situation will change and we can go back to furthering our objects.
Because of the situation, we will not be holding any fundraising events until there is a need to fund our activities with the children. We will however, be holding awareness events in order to strengthen the bonds between supporters and host families so that when restrictions are relaxed we will be ready to go into action once more. In the meantime if there is any change we will notify you through our newsletter and facebook page.
