Sadly it is the end of the 2016 FOCC Medway visit. It has been an amazing four weeks. The children have had a jam packed weekly schedule and even more fun with their host families at the weekend! But it is time for them to go home to their families in Belarus now. This year especially was a hard goodbye because for many of the children this was their last visit to the UK with FOCC Medway.
All of this couldn’t happen without the amazing generosity of the people in Medway who donate time, money, gifts etc., to the Friends of Chernobyl’s Children Medway. Volunteers who give up their time to run fundraising events, those who host children and interpreters, those who accompany the children, those who donate items to sell or who provide activities, days out or much needed items for the children… there are so many people who deserve BIG THANKS for all that they do to support the charity and the children it works with – THANK YOU!
What an amazing visit 2016 has been and what an amazing thing you have all achieved!

Friends of Chernobyl’s Children (FOCC) – Medway funds yearly recuperative visits of one month for socially disadvantaged Belarusian children (aged between seven and twelve) from the areas still devastated by the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
